Feeling trapped in our own society, threatened and separated from others, requires a new liberating cognition. A rethinking of how we cognize the world. Rather than separating ourselves from our Nature, from each other, and from our society, we require new and powerful cognitions to justify our own existence as Hindus and our relationships with others. It’s not a shrinking or avoidance, rather we must implement our Hindu roots as modern and powerful cognitions to share with others – To take up responsibility for others – for their sufferings and fears. To take the solutions of our ancestors, make them part of us, and share with the world. It’s the only way to raise ourselves, come out of self-doubt and violent reactions, and at the same time lead a peaceful future with others. Dr. Vandana Shiva speaks to the need for a self-doubting, colonized Hindu consciousness to go deep into “decolonization”. She relates the unique ability of Vedic civilization to integrate Nature, masculine & feminine, economics, and ancient conscious solutions with the modern challenges facing humanity. Well we are a land of shakti we mustn’t forget it. Our entire cosmology is based on shakti. The feminine principle is the creative principle. What eco-feminism has basically done is overcome three apartheids. The first apartheid is that we are separate from nature. In our philosophy we knew we are part of nature we’ve always talked about vasudhaiva kutumbakam – being one earth family. It’s not an error because we live diversity and for us diversity doesn’t get measured by one measure. But it is recognized for its intrinsic worth. Therefore we talk about everyone having their own swadharma – defined from within. If we were allowing any kind of colonization we’ve got to go deep into decolonization. So the first is: the separation from nature – no! We are one earth family – vasudhaiva kutumbakam. Men and women are different and they are related and they are mutually supported and that’s why we have Ardhnarishwar – the complementary principle of quantum theory. Societies around the world are shaken and searching for a way to come out of the violence and doubt, isolation, fear and alienation amongst brothers, neighbours, communities. The whole planet needs a solution both inside and out. Vedic civilization is the proven solution the whole world is dying for. But Hindus need to re-establish the protected ecosystems of Sanatana Hindu Dharma and nurture the non-violent leaders of the future. It’s the only way to revive authentic Vedic heritage while providing the conscious solutions the planet so desperately needs. A prosperous and mutually-inclusive, peaceful and powerful future is possible, but ignoring the proven Vedic solutions of the past just won’t stand up.
